1982 – Taking the Train to Success

Roy was constantly on the move, travelling from store to store and like everyone he was using the trains. In those days, there were not many High Street stores on the railway stations in London.  Roy did his first deal with British Rail to open a shop at London’s Waterloo station.   This was a great success.   Travellers responded very well and he realised that the railway stations had great potential but he also started thinking about airports.
