August 2010 – Tie Rack Gets Technical
Going back to our roots and our original mission of providing beautiful designs at exceptional prices , the Fingen group set out to expand our retail arm and give the world access to purchase our luxury products online.
Our online shop is easy to use and stocks our latest range of men’s and ladies accessories, our designs and collections are always growing and new products are continually being added. With the ability to get any Tie Rack product delivered to your door, the sky’s the limit.

We’ve come a long way since our creation back in 1981, we’re now a global retailer of men’s and ladies accessories but we haven’t lost sight or our original core values.
The Fratini brothers have used their business and fashion know how to push us in a new and exciting direction. We’ve seen a new team of experienced managers join us, headed by Jo O'Connor, Chief Executive Officer. The team includes an expert Design and Buying Director – Raffaele Caroli. Raffaele, who has previously worked as a menswear designer for leading brands like Alexander McQueen and John Paul Gaultier and has used his fashion expertise to steer us on a more design focussed path.
With the help of Raffaele, we’ve evolved our men’s and ladies accessories by introducing more contemporary styling and launching new lines, this has allowed us to extend our appeal and relevance to a younger audience, whilst still maintaining the interest and custom of our core customers. Roy’s dream was to create stores with a beautiful array of excellent quality ties, scarves and accessories with the emphasis on colour. His slogan was “Tie Rack Adds Colour To Your Life”. He learnt from McDonald’s owner, Ray Kroc, who said, “when you open your doors in the morning and turn on your lights, you’re on the stage”. Tie Rack today is consistent with this philosophy in which the business is rooted.
Our change in focus has not deflected our attention from the quality of our products. Working predominately with Italian designers and manufacturers, all of our products are ethically sourced from factories around the world. We ensure the utmost attention is paid to the quality and detail of all of our ranges.
With a vast investment from the Fingen Group we’ve embarked on a major refurbishment and re-branding programme. Having already refurbished a large number of our stores, we plan to continue to renovate more of our stores in the future.
The Fingen Group have also invested substantially into developing our systems in order that we can offer our customers the best possible products at the right time in the right locations.
